Data controller
JLift is an app developed by Jorge Martínez Canet. Privacy contact: info@jlift.app.
Training data
JLift lets you log workouts, routines, custom exercises, weights used, body weight, notes and app preferences.
This data is stored on your device. JLift has no servers and no user accounts: the developer does not receive and cannot see your data.
Automatic iCloud backup
If “Automatic iCloud backup” is on (Settings › Backups & export), JLift saves a copy of your data to your own iCloud Drive, in the JLift folder, on each day you train, and keeps the last 10. That copy lives in your iCloud account, is managed by Apple under its own privacy policy and only you can see it; the developer has no access to it. You can turn it off at any time and delete the files from the Files app.
Exporting backups and CSV
You can choose to export a full backup or your sets as a CSV file. JLift opens the iOS share sheet and you decide where to save or share the file. JLift does not receive a copy of those files.
Apple Health
If you turn on “Save workouts to Health” (Settings › Apple Health) and grant permission, JLift writes each workout you finish to the Health app as “Traditional Strength Training”, with its start time and duration. JLift does not read any Health data. Health data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not shared with third parties and is not stored in iCloud by JLift. You can revoke permission in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
Notifications
JLift may ask for permission to show local notifications and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen to let you know a rest period has ended. They are created on your iPhone, without any server. You can change this permission in iOS Settings.
Legal basis
JLift does not collect or process the data you log in the app on its servers: it stays on your device and, if you turn them on, in your iCloud and in Health. If you contact support, we process your email address and what you tell us in order to reply, based on your consent and our legitimate interest in handling your request, and we keep it only as long as needed to resolve it.
iPhone backups
As with any app, JLift’s data may also be included in your iPhone backups (iCloud or your computer) if you have them turned on. Those backups are managed by Apple under its own privacy policy; the developer has no access to them.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to info@jlift.app. Because your training data is on your device, you can view, export and delete it at any time from the app itself. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local data protection authority.
Children
JLift is not intended for children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Tracking and advertising
The current version of JLift does not use training data for advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data from Settings › Privacy › Delete all my data: this removes the data on your iPhone and the automatic backups in your iCloud. Workouts already saved to Health are deleted from the Health app. You can also delete the app from your device, which removes its local storage.
Third-party services
JLift does not include analytics, advertising, crash reporting or artificial intelligence services. It only uses Apple services that you turn on: iCloud Drive for the automatic backup and Health (HealthKit) to save your workouts.
This website
This site does not use cookies or analytics tools. Fonts are served from our own server.
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., acting as a data processor. Like any web server, it technically logs the IP address, date and page requested in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse; we do not use those logs to identify you or build profiles. Netlify may process this data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses).
If you pick the light or dark theme with the button in the header, your browser stores that preference in its local storage (localStorage). It never leaves your browser and you can clear it in its settings.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect functional, legal or technical changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
