Who provides JLift

JLift is an iPhone app developed by Jorge Martínez Canet (“we”). Contact: info@jlift.app.

Acceptance

By downloading or using JLift you accept these terms. The app is distributed through the App Store and is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If anything in these terms conflicts with that agreement to your disadvantage, whichever is more favourable to you applies.

What you can do with the app

We grant you a personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use JLift on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

Health and safety

JLift is a training log. The coach’s suggestions, the muscle map and the set targets are general information only: they are not medical advice, a diagnosis or a personalised training plan, and they do not replace a sports or health professional.

Before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury, an illness or are pregnant, talk to a professional. Train with good technique, choose weights that suit your level and stop if you feel pain or dizziness. Using the app, and deciding whether to follow its suggestions, is your responsibility.

Your data

What you log in JLift is stored on your iPhone and, if you turn them on, in your iCloud and in Health. We have no servers and no access to your data, so we cannot recover it if it is lost: we recommend keeping the automatic backup on or exporting a copy from time to time. How information is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Price

JLift is free and has no in-app purchases. If any feature becomes paid in the future, we will tell you clearly in the app before charging anything, and payment will always go through Apple.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, texts, icons and exercise animations belong to us or are used under licence. The muscle-map figures come from react-native-body-highlighter (MIT licence); the licence notice is in the app under Settings › Licenses. The names of exercises you create are yours.

Availability and changes

We may update the app, add or remove features, or stop offering it. Features that rely on Apple services (iCloud, Health, notifications) may fail or change for reasons outside our control.

Liability

We do our best to make JLift work well, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of data that has no backup. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer protection law or our liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or harm to health caused by us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the app or the law. The date of the last update is shown at the top; if a change is significant, we will let you know in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts where you live. You can also write to us first at info@jlift.app to try to resolve it.
